South Sound Running hosts Grand Prix, 2 Mile Run
South Sound Running will host a Grand Prix 2 Mile Run in conjunction with the Reliant Recovery Water Grand Prix bicycle race on Saturday (July 18). The races will be held at the Puyallup High School, and the start/finish line is located at 2nd Ave NW & 7th St NW.
The criterium will begin at 9:30 a.m. and the road race at 4:20 p.m. The event will also feature the Puyallup Grand Prix bicycle race, along with a two-mile flat and fast race, which will be four laps around the 1/2-mile criterium race course around Puyallup High.
Registration is $20, which includes a T-shirt, and is now open. Day-of-race registration is $30, which also includes a T-shirt, and is open from 10 a.m. through 4 p.m. Saturday. Extra T-shirts will be on sale for $12. Participants will have 30 minutes to complete the course distance to stay within the criterium race schedule. Strollers, walkers and dogs are prohibited from the course. Prizes will be offered from South Sound Running for overall and age group winners.
