Wreck that ‘spilled large sacks of concrete’ backs up traffic on state Route 167

Traffic backed up between Auburn and Sumner on Thursday afternoon on southbound state Route 167 after a wreck dumped bags of concrete onto the road, the Washington State Department of Transportation reported.

“A crash blocking the right lane on SB 167 at 24th St. has traffic backing up between Auburn and Sumner,” the agency posted on Twitter about 2:30 p.m. “The crash involved a pickup truck that spilled large sacks of concrete onto the road.”

WSDOT said crews needed to do cleanup before they could open things up.
