Missing woman, 81, was found safe and is ‘reuniting with family,’ Sumner Police say

Update: Sumner Police posted about 9:45 p.m. on Facebook that Knutson was found safe and is “reuniting with family.”

Initial post: Sumner Police are looking for an 81-year-old woman who went missing Thursday morning in Sumner.

The last time Jeanine Knutson was seen was between 10 a.m. and 10:30 a.m. at 15519 62nd St. Court E., at the Stafford Suites, the police department said in a Facebook post about 3:30 p.m.

She’s 5 feet, 2 inches tall, 140 pounds and wears glasses.

“She was last seen wearing a blue jacket, green scarf, dark colored pants and black shoes,” the post said. “Jeanine uses a walker and also suffers from alzheimers and dementia.”

Investigators ask anyone with information to call 911 or the non-emergency number, 253-287-4455.

The case number is 2332700765.

“Please help us get Jeanine home safely,” the police department’s post said.
