A driver was seriously injured in a two-car wreck on state Route 410 Wednesday night.

According to a post on X about 11 p.m. Wednesday by Washington State Trooper John Dattilo, the crash happened east of Traffic Avenue.

“We don’t know how it happened,” Dattilo told The News Tribune Thursday. “What I can tell you is that both cars were going in the same direction and the causing vehicle struck the victim vehicle in some manner.”

Dattilo said the cause of the crash will come out once staff finalize the investigation.

“The causing driver is in custody for DUI,” Dattilo said in the post.

Crews took both drivers to local hospitals. Dattilo said that the DUI suspect suffered serious injuries, and that the other driver suffered minor injuries. He didn’t know if the suspect was still in the hospital Thursday.

Dattilo told The News Tribune that state Route 410 Traffic was closed for almost three hours while police investigated.
