Rhubarb Days is coming to Pierce County this weekend. Here’s what to know

Pierce County’s largest rhubarb celebration is this weekend.

Sumner’s Rhubarb Days Festival is happening on Main Street in downtown Sumner from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on June 21 and 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. on June 22.

According to the website, there will be 200 vendors, 17 food trucks, two stages for live music and a kid’s zone. Guests can also visit the beer garden and meet Rhubarb the Reindeer, the Tacoma Rainiers mascot.

Food vendors will have rhubarb pie, crisp and cobbler as well as shaved ice, tacos, burgers, Filipino food and more.

The beer garden will have rhubarb cider, rhubarb seltzer and a rhubarb IPA, and the Valley Social Wine Bar will have rhubarb gelato prosecco floats., according to the event website.

“Look for our red ‘Rhubarb Here’ balloons throughout the event for rhubarb-themed goodies of all kinds!” the website said.
