Sumner School District to host informational open houses on upcoming bond projects

The Sumner School District will host four informational open houses to address specific capital facility projects being considered for a February 2016 bond measure. The four open houses are in response to the District Bond Communications survey conducted Aug. 10 to Sept. 4, where survey participants requested more information as to why these are critical capital facility needs.

The following events will provide additional information on current and projected student enrollment along with detailed information specific to each project. The district welcomes the community to the following:

▪ 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 20, Mountain View Middle School, 10921 199th Ave. Ct. E., Bonney Lake.

Event will focus on the proposed addition to Mountain View Middle School.

▪ 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 21, Emerald Hills Elementary, 19515 S. Tapps Drive E., Bonney Lake.

Event will focus on the proposed replacement of Emerald Hills Elementary.

▪ 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 22, Bonney Lake High School, 10920 199th Ave. Ct. E., Bonney Lake.

Event will focus on proposed improvements at Bonney Lake High School.

▪ 6 to 7 p.m. Oct. 27, Maple Lawn Elementary, 230 Wood Ave., Sumner.

Event will focus on the proposed construction of an Early Learning Center.
