Barista shot in Tacoma after refusing to give robber money
A barista was shot in the leg while working in Tacoma on Monday night, police said.
The shooting occurred about 6:30 p.m. in the 1900 block of Marine View Drive.
A woman pulled up and demanded money but the victim refused to give her any, police spokeswoman Loretta Cool said.
The woman shot the barista and drove away.
The 20-year-old victim was taken to St. Joseph Medical Center and was listed in stable condition.
Police are searching for the suspect.
