Kitsap County sheriff's deputies say a man wanted for attempting to murder his girlfriend overnight Thursday near Olalla is hiding in the Tacoma area.

Moses MacDonald, 37, severely assaulted his 40-year-old girlfriend at a mobile home and did not leave the Olalla area until someone fired a warning shot in his direction, deputies said in a Facebook post.

MacDonald was last seen leaving the home in the 15400 block of Bandix Road Southeast on foot. He was wearing a white T-shirt, khaki shorts and flip-flops.

The home and a nearby SUV were destroyed in an arson fire hours later, detectives say.

MacDonald is 6 feet tall, 200 to 225 pounds, with a shaved head and blue eyes. He has gauged ear piercings with silver hoops inside.

Anyone with information about his whereabouts is asked to call 911.
