Woman killed, man critically injured after shooting in Kent parking lot
A woman died and a man was critically injured late Tuesday after being shot while sitting inside an SUV in a Kent parking lot, police said.
The victims have not been identified.
Officers were called about 10:45 p.m. to the 12990 block of SE Kent-Kangley Road and found the man and woman inside a Ford Escalade in a strip mall parking lot.
The woman, who is from Federal Way, was pronounced dead at the scene. The man, from Kent, was taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle in critical condition.
No one has been arrested.
Police declined to provide details about what they think happened, but did say the shooting did not appear random.
The woman was in the driver’s seat and the man in the passenger seat when police arrived at the scene.
