He has a history of masturbating in front of kids, but says deputies ‘had it out for him’

A man caught masturbating in front of a child riding a bicycle in a Spanaway neighborhood is convinced deputies “had it out for him,” according to court documents.

The 42-year-old walked out of his home Tuesday, stood against a tree and allegedly began masturbating.

A neighbor spotted him through a window and ran outside to take his picture and call the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

The boy riding a bicycle exclaimed when he saw the man masturbating “then rode quickly away on the bicycle, as if trying to get away from the area,” records show.

Once the child left, the man checked his mail and went back inside his house.

When deputies arrived, he denied being outside. After seeing the photograph taken by a neighbor, he said he was just getting the mail and accused the deputies of having it out for him.

He pleaded not guilty Wednesday to indecent exposure and was ordered held on $15,000 bail.

This wasn’t the first time the man has been accused of masturbating in public.

He has two prior convictions for indecent exposure, including one incident where he masturbated in front of a window as a school bus full of children drove by.
