Hit-and-run driver seriously injured 2 in Waller area crash. Do you know who it was?

Deputies are asking for the public’s help identifying the driver who caused a hit-and-run crash in the Waller area that seriously injured two people.

The collision occurred about 7:15 p.m. Dec. 26 when a silver Volkswagen Jetta traveling west on 72nd Street East T-boned a Toyota Camry that was turning east onto 72nd from 50th Avenue East.

The Jetta’s driver fled on foot immediately after striking the other vehicle.

Deputies believe the car was stolen and have not identified who was behind the wheel.

The people in the Toyota, a 34-year-old man and 33-year-old woman, had to be extricated by firefighters and were taken to an area hospital in serious condition.
