Road rage incident leads to shooting in Kent. Gunman not in custody

Kent police are investigating a road-rage incident that led to a shooting Monday morning.

A 55-year-old man called 911 about 7:25 a.m. to report he’d been shot in the leg and his attacker fled in a sedan type vehicle.

Officers found the victim at a convenience store in the 21200 block of 84th Avenue North suffering from a single gunshot wound.

He was treated at the scene before being taken to Harborview Medical Center in Seattle.

The shooter fled northbound after firing several shots.

Detectives did not release details about the argument leading up to the shooting, but called it a “road rage altercation.”

There are lane restrictions in the 21600 block of 84th Avenue North so drivers are advised to avoid the area.
