1 person killed in Tacoma sidewalk shooting
A man was shot and killed in Tacoma Tuesday.
Passersby called 911 about 9:45 a.m. to report a possible shooting and a man lying on the sidewalk in the 1200 block of Puyallup Avenue.
When officers arrived, they performed CPR until the victim was taken to a local hospital.
The victim later died.
A section of Puyallup Avenue is closed during the investigation.
Detectives are trying to figure out what led up to the shooting.
No one was in custody, spokeswoman Wendy Haddow said.
This is the city’s second homicide this year.
