The following convicted sex offenders have recently registered to live in Pierce County.

Each is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender — those considered most likely to commit similar crimes. None is wanted by law enforcement officers at this time.

All convicted sex offenders registered to live in Tacoma and Pierce County are listed on the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s website at piercesheriff.org.

John F. Flynn

Age: 62.

Description: 5-feet-11 and 160 pounds, with black/gray hair and brown eyes.

Where registered to live: Transient, Pierce County.

Criminal history: Convicted in 1994 of first-degree rape and first-degree burglary in Pierce County for forcing his way into a woman’s home, punching her and sexually assaulting her. Convicted in 1988 of second-degree rape in Pierce County for breaking into a woman’s home, threatening to kill her and sexually assaulting her.

Sex offender treatment: He did not participate in a treatment program while incarcerated or at the state’s Special Commitment Center.

Robert W. King

Age: 37.

Description: 5-feet-11 and 200 pounds, with brown hair and hazel eyes.

Where registered to live: 200th block of 205th Avenue East, Lake Tapps.

Criminal history: Convicted in 1975 on two counts of rape in King County for breaking into women’s homes while they were sleeping and sexually assaulting them. In both cases, the women had young children in the house, and King threatened to harm them if they didn’t do as he said.

Sex offender treatment: He participated in a treatment program while incarcerated.
