Woman killed, man critically injured in shooting at Tacoma house

A woman was killed and a man critically injured during a shooting inside a Tacoma home.

Detectives are investigating what happened inside the house in the 1400 block of South Union Avenue.

About 11:45 p.m. Friday, a man called 911, provided his address and asked police to “hurry up” before he disconnected the call.

By the time officers arrived, they found a 33-year-old man lying on the sidewalk in front of the house suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to an area hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Inside the house, police found a 28-year-old woman dead.

She has not been identified.

Both victims lived at the house and were believed to be a couple, police spokeswoman Wendy Haddow said.

No suspect information has been released.
