Woman fatally shot inside Tacoma home has been identified

A woman shot to death inside her Tacoma home has been identified as Kelsea Michelle Carlson.

Her fiance called 911 shortly before midnight Friday, gave their address and asked police to “hurry up” before he hung up the phone.

Officers arrived at the home in the 1400 block of South Union Avenue and found a 33-year-old man lying on the sidewalk suffering from a gunshot wound.

He was taken to a local hospital with life-threatening injuries.

Carlson, 28, was found inside the home.

She died of multiple gunshot wounds, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

No one has been arrested and detectives have not released information about what led up to the shootings.

“She had the world ahead of her and was on track to finally achieve happiness in her life,” according to a GoFundMe page trying to raise $10,000 for her daughter and funeral expenses.
