Woman killed in Parkland apartment fire

A woman died Sunday after a fire swept through her apartment in Parkland, according to Central Pierce Fire & Rescue.

Crews responded about 4 p.m. to a complex in the 2100 block of 112th Street South and found the unit engulfed in flames.

After putting out the blaze, a woman was found inside.

Firefighters performed CPR but she was pronounced dead at the scene.

She has not yet been identified.

No one else was injured.

Investigators are trying to determine what caused the fire.
