Officials identify estranged husband, boyfriend killed in Pierce County homicide-suicide

Officials have identified two men who died last weekend in a homicide-suicide at a Pierce County home.

Uriah Derrick Hawkins, 40, was separated from his wife and agreed to move the rest of his belongings out of their shared home on Saturday.

Instead, investigators say Hawkins drove to the Waller-area home of his wife’s new boyfriend around 1 a.m. and confronted them.

Hawkins’ 35-year-old wife was staying the night at her boyfriend’s house in the 7500 block of Vickery Avenue East.

Hawkins shot Dimen John Adams, 44, multiple times before shooting himself in the head, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

Both men were pronounced dead at the scene.

A pistol was found near Hawkins’ body.

The woman was not injured.
