2 JBLM soldiers arrested in connection with a Kittitas County homicide

Two soldiers from Joint Base Lewis-McChord have been arrested in connection with a homicide in Kittitas County.

The Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office reported the soldiers, both 20, were arrested without incident in Pierce County on Wednesday. They are being investigated in the death of 20-year-old Leroy Scott, whose body was found along a road north of Ellensburg on April 25.

“The victim and suspects were connected to Kittitas County through some mutual friends and were said to have been attending a party in Ellensburg on the night of the murder,” according to a news release posted by the Kittitas County Sheriff’s Office. “The investigation is ongoing.”
