Motorcyclist killed in Tacoma after crossing into oncoming traffic is identified
A motorcyclist who died Saturday after crossing into oncoming traffic and being hit by a truck in Tacoma has been identified.
Isaiah Washington, 41, was traveling southbound with five other bikers when he crossed the center lane in the 7800 block of McKinley Avenue.
Witnesses said the motorcyclists appeared to be trying to pass a vehicle in front of them.
Washington was hit by an oncoming truck just before 2 p.m.
He was pronounced dead at the scene.
McKinley Avenue between East 76th and East 82nd streets was closed for about two hours during the investigation.
