Developmentally disabled teen missing from Spanaway home, considered endangered

A 17-year-old Spanaway girl with the mental capacity of a 12-year-old went missing from her home Wednesday, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

Asia Imanis Bellamy was last seen about 1:30 p.m. at her home at 23rd Ave. Ct. E.

Her family went to check on her at 4 p.m. and she was gone. They searched for hours but were unable to find her.

Asia is vulnerable and easily influenced by others, sheriff’s spokesman Ed Troyer said.

She has no history of running away from home or wandering off.

Asia is described as black, 5-feet-7 and 145 pounds, with black hair worn in braids and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing a gray long-sleeved shirt, multi-colored tank top, blue pants and flip-flop sandals.

Anyone with information on her whereabouts is asked to call 911.
