2 men fatally shot in Tacoma

Two men were fatally shot in Tacoma early Saturday, police said.

Officers were first called about 1:45 a.m. to a parking lot in the 5500 block of South Washington Street.

They found a crowd of people and a man who had been shot to death, spokeswoman Wendy Haddow said.

About 40 minutes later, a passerby notified police there were shooting victims in a vehicle in the 700 block of South Huson Street.

The 42-year-old driver suffered non-life threatening injuries and was taken to an area hospital.

It was not immediately clear if he’d been shot or been injured in another way.

The male passenger suffered a gunshot wound and was pronounced dead at the scene.

Neither victim has been identified.

The two scenes are linked and detectives are investigating what led up to the shootings.

No one has been arrested.
