Man fatally shot by stepfather at Puyallup house has been identified
A man fatally shot by his stepfather at a Puyallup house last week has been identified.
Police say the 42-year-old man was shot with a shotgun by his 76-year-old stepfather in the 2700 block of 9th Avenue SW.
The victim was identified as Samuel David Pichinini of Morton, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.
The shooting occurred about 3 p.m. Thursday.
Details about what led up to the homicide have not been released.
Pichinini was pronounced dead at the scene.
The suspect was taken into custody and booked into Pierce County Jail.
Prosecutors are expected to make a charging decision Tuesday.
