A missing woman’s car was found engulfed in flames in downtown Tacoma, police said.

Diana Davis, 50, was last heard from Monday.

A loved one requested a welfare check for unknown reasons but officers found nobody at her Auburn home.

On Wednesday, her Chevy Impala was found on fire in the 1600 block of Court E.

“Someone heard a noise and looked out and there was a car on fire,” Tacoma police spokeswoman Wendy Haddow said.

The Impala was registered to Davis.

That prompted Tacoma police to put out a bulletin that Davis is missing under suspicious circumstances.

She is described as black, 5-feet-5 and 105 pounds, with black hair and brown eyes.

Anyone with information on Davis’ whereabouts or who burned her vehicle is asked to call Tacoma-Pierce County Crimestoppers at 1-800-222-TIPS (8477).
