University Place man, 78, suspected of killing his wife
A 78-year-old University Place man is suspected of killing his wife at their home Monday, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.
The man walked into a hospital about 1 p.m. “and made some comments about a conflict with his wife,” spokesman Ed Troyer said.
Deputies went to the couple’s home in the 5600 block of 61st Avenue West and found the 74-year-old woman dead.
It was not immediately known how the woman died or what led up to the homicide.
Her husband was taken into custody.
