Woman, 71, killed in four-car crash on SR 7 in Spanaway

A 71-year-old woman died Wednesday in a four-car crash on state Route 7 in Spanaway, according to the Washington State Patrol.

Kim Bigham, of Tacoma, was traveling southbound on SR 7 about 3:15 p.m. when she crossed into oncoming traffic and struck two vehicles near 195th Street East.

One of those vehicles struck a Jeep Wrangler.

Troopers say Bigham suffered a medical emergency and lost control of her Chevy Cobalt.

Two other involved drivers, a 59-year-old Tacoma woman and 49-year-old Lakewood man, were injured in the collision.

Bigham was pronounced dead at the scene.

The State Patrol shut down that section of SR 7 for nearly three hours while they investigated the wreck.
