Boy shot, critically injured outside Lakewood townhouse

A boy was critically injured in a shooting early Monday outside a Lakewood townhouse.

Police were called about 12:45 a.m. to the Gravelly Lake Townhomes in the 13000 block of Pacific Highway SW after several people reported hearing gunshots.

During a party, the victim went outside to his car in the parking lot and was shot.

“It was reported that several shots were heard, and vehicles were seen fleeing the scene,” police Lt. Chris Lawler said.

It was not immediately known why the victim went outside or the circumstances that led up to the shooting.

He was taken to an area hospital, where he is in critical condition.

No one has been arrested.
