Man shot near casino in Auburn

A shooting in Auburn Wednesday night left one man injured, police said.

Officers from Auburn Police Department responded to the shooting at about 11 p.m. at Auburn Way South and Dogwood Street Southeast near a casino, according to a post from the department’s Facebook page.

The 48-year-old victim was transported to the hospital with non-life-threatening injuries, department spokesperson Kolby Crossley said.

Police took a male suspect into custody, Crossley said.

Details about the circumstances of the shooting were not immediately available.
