Man found shot, injured in vehicle in Tacoma

A man was shot and injured Wednesday evening in Tacoma. Police said he suffered serious injuries.

Tacoma Police Department officers responded about 8:25 p.m. to a report of a male shot in the 3900 block of Mason Loop Road. There, police found the injured 32-year-old man in a vehicle, according to a post from the department.

Officers took measures to save the man’s life. He was transported to the hospital with serious injuries. TPD spokesperson Wendy Haddow said Thursday morning that the man was expected to recover.

Haddow said the suspect and the man who was shot know each other. She said there was an altercation between the two men before the victim was shot multiple times.

Police said the investigation is ongoing.
