Man stabbed to death at Lakewood bar; police searching for 3 suspects
Update Nov. 12, 3:53 p.m.: Lakewood police said the three suspects turned themselves in to detectives Wednesday night. The suspects were interviewed and released while detectives continue to investigate the fatal stabbing.
Police are investigating after a man was found last week fatally stabbed in the parking lot of a Lakewood bar. Police are searching for three people suspected in the man’s murder.
Officers from Lakewood Police Department responded around 1:05 a.m. Saturday to Oaktree Food and Drink at 8011 Steilacoom Blvd. Southwest, Lakewood police said Wednesday.
When officers arrived, they found a 31-year-old man in the parking lot suffering from stab wounds. The man, who has not been identified, died at the scene.
Investigators found that the victim was in an altercation with three men at the bar before he was stabbed. Police said the altercation spilled out into the parking lot, where the stabbing occurred. It’s not clear what the men were arguing about.
The suspects fled in what was described as a “lifted” black Ford truck with blacked-out accessories, according to a news release from Lakewood Police Department.
The three suspects may have been at a bar in Steilacoom before arriving at Oaktree Food and Drink, police said. According to the news release, one of the men was overheard saying they were in the military.

One suspect was described as an approximately 30-year-old white male, 5-foot-5 with a stocky build. Police described the second suspect as an approximately 21-year-old Black man, 5-foot-7 with a medium build. The third suspect was described as an approximately 21-year-old white man, 5-foot-7 with a medium build, dark hair and dark eyes.
