Man found fatally shot at Federal Way strip mall

A man was found fatally shot Wednesday night in the parking lot of a Federal Way strip mall, police said.

Officers from Federal Way Police Department responded about 9:47 p.m. to the 1400 block of South 348th Street for a report of a shooting, Kiro 7 reported. When officers arrived, they found a man in the parking lot with gunshot wounds.

Police and first responders tried to save the man, but he died at the scene.

Few details about the shooting have been released. A representative from Federal Way police did not immediately respond to a request for information.

According to the news station, police said the victim appeared to have been targeted and that the shooting was not random.
