Woman with special health needs missing from Fircrest home

A woman with special health needs went missing from a Fircrest group home Monday, police said.

Officers got a call about 3:30 p.m. that 67-year-old Emily Esquiro was missing from the home in the 200 block of Columbia Avenue, Fircrest Police Chief John Cheesman said.

“She sometimes gets disoriented,” he said. “We’re concerned, especially with the heat the way it is.”

She’s described as 5 feet 6, 135 pounds, with salt-and-pepper black hair and brown eyes. She was last seen wearing an orange T-shirt, red/orange pants, and tennis shoes with an orange swoosh (but not necessarily Nike brand).

Anyone with information is asked to call 911.
