Crews take woman to hospital after Lakewood crash
Crews took a woman to a hospital Thursday after a Lakewood crash involving multiple vehicles.
The woman had a possible medical condition as she was driving that investigators think caused the accident about 3:10 p.m. at Gravelly Lake Drive Southwest and Bridgeport Way Southwest, Lakewood police spokesman Chris Lawler said.
He said he believed the woman was expected to survive, and he didn’t think anyone else was injured.
West Pierce Fire & Rescue reported the wreck on twitter.
Firefighters used the Jaws of Life to extricate the woman.
Power went out in the area after the crash and was later restored, West Pierce said shortly before 4 p.m.
Further details were not immediately available.
