Fife bank robber sought by police
Police are looking for a man who robbed a Fife bank Tuesday.
He went up to the counter of the US Bank in the 5500 block of Pacific Highway East at 2:50 p.m. and handed a teller a note that threatened violence and demanded cash, according to Tacoma-Pierce County Crime Stoppers.
The robber fled with the money in a white or silver Jeep Cherokee.
He’s described as white, in his 30s, with a slender build, brown hair and a brown mustache and goatee .He wore a dark plaid shirt, sunglasses and a red fisherman-style hat during the robbery, and got rid of the hat and sunglasses as he ran out of the bank.
Anyone with information is asked to call 1-800-222-TIPS (8477). Tips are anonymous and can lead to a reward.
