‘Multiple’ suspects sought in armed home invasion reported in Tacoma over the weekend

Tacoma police are seeking the public’s help in an investigation after a reported home invasion in Central Tacoma over the weekend.

According to the initial police report, at approximately 2:23 a.m. Sunday morning, multiple individuals broke into a home in the 1000 block of South Trafton Street in Tacoma.

Wendy Haddow, media representative for the Tacoma Police Department, told The News Tribune that according to the report, multiple suspects, “several who were armed with firearms, kicked in the front door and held the occupants at gunpoint while they stole various items from the house.”

The suspects then fled, according to the report. A Ring doorbell video obtained by KIRO-7 TV in Seattle showed what appeared to be six masked persons wearing dark hooded jackets entering the home as screams were heard from inside.

The investigation is ongoing. Anyone with information about the case is asked to call Tacoma/Pierce County Crimestoppers at 800-222-TIPS (8477).
