A man’s body was found floating in Wapato Lake on Friday afternoon, Tacoma police said.

The man, believed to be in his 30s, was partially clothed but had no identification on him. There are no outstanding missing-person reports in the Wapato Park area that match the victim, said Tacoma police spokesperson detective William Muse.

There were no obvious signs of trauma on the body, Muse said. Police and the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office will conduct an investigation.

Callers reported the body at 3:50 p.m., Muse said. Wapato Park is located between South 72nd and South 64th streets and just east of Interstate 5.
