Man shot dead in Pierce County in early August has been IDed by county medical examiner

A man killed in a shooting in early August in Parkland that still has no suspects has been identified.

The Pierce County Medical Examiners Office reported that Michael Lefeau, 41, died from multiple gunshot wounds near midnight Aug 5. His death was ruled a homicide.

Lefeau died at around 11:45 p.m. at a local hospital after being found near the Concordia Arms Apartments in the 100 block of 129th Street South, the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department said.

Deputies dispatched to a shooting arrived at 10:04 p.m. They found Lefeau injured in a parking lot, according to a news release. Deputies searched the area but found no suspects.

Lefeau was taken to a nearby hospital. Forensic units and detectives were brought to the scene to begin an investigation, the Sheriff’s Department said.

No one has been arrested.
