Tacoma 1-year-old’s death ruled homicide; he died before being taken to hospital
A 1-year-old Tacoma boy’s family brought his body to Mary Bridge Children’s Hospital, and investigators said Sunday that he had been killed.
Tacoma police responded about 8 a.m. Saturday to the hospital, where spokeswoman Loretta Cool said they found the child was already dead when his family took him to the facility.
Sayvon Jordan Jr., about 15 months old, died from blunt force injury to his abdomen, and his death was a homicide, the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office said.
Cool said no arrests had been made. She did not have further details about what led to the boy’s death.
