A shooting at Westside Estates Apartment Homes has left a teenage boy with serious injuries.

About 10:45 p.m. Tuesday, Tacoma police were dispatched to a call that someone was shot near the 900 block of North Pearl Street. Police said a teenage boy was arguing with someone in the parking lot. TPD spokesman and detective William Muse said at some point the teenager pulled a gun and fired shots into an apartment, striking another boy multiple times. Police said it wasn’t immediately clear if the victim was the person the shooter had been arguing with.

The victim, 17, was seriously injured and taken to a local hospital, where he was listed in stable condition Wednesday.

The shooter fled before police arrived, and there is a warrant out for his arrest. Muse said the shooter is between 16 and 18 years old.
