Each is categorized as a Level 3 sex offender — those considered most likely to commit similar crimes. None is wanted by law enforcement officers at this time.

All convicted sex offenders registered to live in Tacoma and Pierce County are listed on the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department’s website at piercesheriff.org.

Stephen Franks

Age: 38

Description: 5-foot-7 and 180 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Registered address: 2300 block of Fawcett Avenue, Tacoma.

Criminal history: Convicted in 2012 of first-degree assault, second-degree assault and second-degree child molestation in Pierce County after sexually assaulting two female victims on multiple occasions. In 2010, Franks was convicted of third-degree assault and fourth-degree assault with sexual motivation after sexually assaulting a women while they were living at Joint Base Lewis-McChord.

Sex offender treatment: Franks participated in a sex offender treatment program.

Tarail E. Gilcrist

Age: 25

Description: 6-foot-4 and 197 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Registered address: 1700 block of East 64th Street, Tacoma.

Criminal history: Convicted in 2017 of first-degree burglary with sexual motivation in Lewis County after unlawfully entering a woman’s apartment and forcing her on her bed while not wearing pants. He then stole her phone and credit card. In 2012, Gilcrist was convicted as a 14 year old of sexually assaulting a 40-year-old relative.

Sex offender treatment: Gilcrist did not participate in a sex offender treatment program.

Brian S. Coleman

Age: 63

Description: 6-foot-3 and 330 pounds, with green hair and gray eyes.

Registered address: 2300 block of Fawcett Avenue, Tacoma.

Criminal history: Convicted in 2008 for two counts third-degree sexual abuse in Jackson County, Oregon after sexually assaulting a 15-year-old boy in a restaurant restroom and again while the boy was seated at a table. Coleman was charged in 2013 with first-degree attempted child molestation involving a 7-year-old boy.

Sex offender treatment: It was not disclosed whether Coleman participated in a sex offender treatment program.

Age: 40

Description: 5 feet and 135 pounds, with brown hair and brown eyes.

Registered address: 6100 block of Tacoma Avenue South, Tacoma.

Criminal history: Convicted in 2017 for third-degree child molestation in King County after sexually assaulting a known 14-year-old boy. Convicted in 2016 of indecent exposure for exposing his penis to a 12-year-old girl in Yelm, Washington.

Sex offender treatment: Adamson did not participate in a sex offender treatment program.
