Man dies from gunshot wounds sustained two weeks ago in Tacoma. No arrests made

A man who was shot two weeks ago in Tacoma has succumbed to his injuries. A homicide investigation is underway.

A 24-year-old man was found injured with gunshot wounds in the 1800 block of South State Street on Dec. 14 just after 3:30 a.m. Tacoma police were responding to a shooting when they found the man. Officers initiated life-saving measures until Tacoma Fire arrived. They took him to a local hospital where he remained for two weeks, according to a Tacoma Police Department news release.

The man was in critical condition and died from his injuries Tuesday morning. There have been no arrests made in connection to this case. Detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide, the release said.
