Tacoma man killed in shooting Monday night outside Federal Way apartment building

A 25-year-old Tacoma man was killed outside a Federal Way apartment building on Monday, police say.

Federal Way Police Department officers responded to reports of a shooting at the Pavilion Apartments at 1900 Southwest Campus Drive at about 8:41 p.m. Officers found the man with gunshot wounds in the parking lot. Officers initiated live-saving measures until they were relieved by medical personnel, according to Federal Way police commander Kyle Buchanan.

The man succumbed to his injuries and was declared deceased. Federal Way detectives are investigating the shooting as a homicide. There are no other known injuries, and no one in custody at this time, Buchanan said.
