Tacoma man injured from I-5 drive-by shooting in Fife. Troopers seek witnesses

The Washington State Patrol wants to speak to witnesses who might have information on a shooting in Fife that left a 27-year-old Tacoma man injured Sunday.

The shooting happened at about 1:20 a.m. when the Tacoma man was driving his 2013 Dodge Challenger south on I-5 near the 54th Avenue East overpass. A dark-colored sedan drove alongside the left side of the Challenger. One of the passengers in the sedan fired multiple rounds at the Challenger. The Challenger’s driver was struck in the left arm and leg, according to a Washington State Patrol news release.

The driver veered to the right, and crashed into a ditch just south of the overpass. The Tacoma man is hospitalized and in stable condition, the release said.

The release said that witnesses have so far been unable to provide any further details about the suspect’s vehicle and its occupants Anyone with further information can contact detective Kevin Pratt at 253-538-3173.
