1 man fatally shot inside Spanaway home. 4 people detained but no suspects in custody

A 35-year-old man was fatally shot inside a Spanaway home Monday, sheriff’s deputies say.

Pierce County deputies were dispatched at 11:32 a.m. to a call of a shooting in the 3700 block of 159th Street Court East. They were advised that a male victim was shot inside the home, according to the Pierce County Sheriff’s Department.

Deputies detained four people inside the home. The victim was transported by medical personnel but died on the way to the hospital, deputies say.

Detectives interviewed several witnesses at the scene. Two guns were collected as evidence. There were no suspects in custody Monday morning, deputies say.
