Tacoma police investigate shooting that left man injured early Tuesday morning

A man was shot Tuesday in Tacoma, police say.

Tacoma police were dispatched at about 5:15 a.m. to a report of a shooting in the 1300 block of Yakima Avenue. Police found a man who suffered a gunshot wound to the abdomen, Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman Officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune.

She said the man was taken to the hospital with injuries. No arrests have been made.

There is no threat to the public, and the investigation is on-going, Boyd said.
