Woman found dead in the middle of a Tacoma street. Homicide investigation is underway

Tacoma police are on the scene of a homicide investigation after a woman was found deceased Wednesday morning.

A passerby reported at 10:40 a.m. finding a woman with injuries in the middle of the street in the 3000 block of Tacoma Avenue South, Tacoma Police Department spokesman detective William Muse told The News Tribune.

The department posted on X at 12:29 p.m. that detectives are investigating the incident as a homicide. The woman was reportedly 38-years-old. She was pronounced deceased at the scene after live-saving measures were initiated.

The cause of the woman’s death has not been reported. No arrests have been made.
