A man was shot in the thigh in Tacoma on Wednesday night.

Police were dispatched at about 8 p.m. to the 3000 block of Center Street near a smoke shop after a man told 911 he was shot. Police found the man in his vehicle and applied a tourniquet to the wound, Tacoma Police Department spokeswoman officer Shelbie Boyd told The News Tribune on Thursday.

The man was transported to the hospital with a non-life threatening gunshot wound. No suspects have been identified, Boyd said.
