Early-morning shooting in Bonney Lake leaves one man injured, two people detained
A man was shot and two people were detained following a shooting in Bonney Lake early Tuesday.
Bonney Lake police officers were dispatched at about 12:26 a.m. to the 99000 block of 219th Avenue East for a report that someone was shot. Additional 911 callers reported the sounds of shots being fired, according to a Bonney Lake Police Department news release.
Police contacted a man who was shot at multiple times and struck at least once with gunfire. It was determined the shooters were known to the man and they had left in a vehicle. The vehicle was found in Lakewood and two people were detained, the release said.
The man was taken to the hospital with non-life threatening injuries. Detectives are investigating, and the scene might remain active most of the day.
