Woman killed in Bonney Lake officially identified. Her ex-husband has been charged

A Bonney Lake woman who was killed in early July has been officially identified, according to the Pierce County Medical Examiner’s Office.

Lisha Krier, 53, died on July 5 at her home near the 20300 block of 113th Street East. Her cause and manner of death is “pending,” the medical examiner said in a news release. That is a temporary designation used when additional investigation, information and/or test results are required for certification.

Krier’s ex-husband, Ronald Eugene Krier, 53, was arrested and charged with first-degree murder in connection with her death. Ronald Krier allegedly texted his daughter that he killed her mother, which led to Pierce County deputies conducting a welfare check at her home. Lisha Krier was found deceased, and Ronald Krier was arrested that day, The News Tribune reported.

A plea of not guilty was entered on Ronald Krier’s behalf during his arraignment on Monday. He is in custody at Pierce County Jail on a $2 million bail.

Krier also was charged with felony harassment after his ex-wife previously accused him of threatening to kill her, the story said. Krier’s bail was set at $50,000 for the charge.
