Man shot several times in Tacoma parking lot. Police seeking more information

Tacoma police are seeking information about a shooting that left a man seriously injured Thursday night.

Officers were dispatched at about 10:40 p.m. to the 100 block of South 38th Street for reports of a shooting. A man suffered multiple gunshot wounds at a parking lot, Tacoma Police Department detective William Muse told The News Tribune.

Officers administered medical aid to the man until Tacoma Fire Department personnel took over. The man was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries, Muse said.

Crime-scene investigators collected and processed evidence left in the area, he said.

Muse said the alleged shooter fled and has not been contacted. An argument reportedly took place that led up to the shooting.

Tacoma police are seeking the public’s assistance. Anyone with information is encouraged to contact the Police Department or leave a tip with Crime Stoppers.
